This mASCot Posotion Statement follows discussion at the December 2025 Autism Partnership Board, where significant concerns were raised about access to Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) support & related pathways, waiting times, pathway gaps & the lived experience of autistic people & families. While a formal action was agreed relating to lived-experience work, the issues raised in that discussion were broader & more structural.

This paper sets out mASCot’s position on what was raised, what it reflects about current system functioning & why this now requires a clearer response at system level.
