Becoming a mASCot Member

mASCot is a support network for parents with autistic children, whatever age your child is.

You can join mASCot from the point of recognising your child may be autistic, when they have a full diagnosis or if they are on the diagnostic pathway.

By becoming a member of mASCot, you will be part of our amazing support network and have access to all the things we do.

Being a full member includes:

  • access to our private members only Facebook group

  • ability to join any of our clubs and groups

  • attend our mASCot coffee mornings

  • attending our workshops and talks

  • become part of our Skill Exchange

  • access to our 1-1 sessions

  • become part of a collective voice when feeding back to services

  • access to resources and information

  • and much more.......

You will become a member of a strong community that support each other and are always there for each other.

We work hard to raise awareness and to promote the acceptance of Autism. We also work to inform and improve schools and services - to better provide what our families of autistic children/young people need and are entitled to.

We are a support network, not a service, so we run on the energy levels of 6 dedicated Directors and a handful of active members who help run some of our projects.

This is all mainly done on a voluntary basis, and we successfully support a membership of over 2,000 local families.

When you become a member, as well as getting the support you need, you also help strengthen the mASCot community by adding to our collective voice.

All our main support is done via our Private Members Facebook Group, this is where we post all up-to-date information, ask for feedback, talk about meet ups, coffee mornings, plan events and project and where you get the chance to meet and talk to fellow parents.

If you don’t have Facebook, you can still join mASCot and have access to our clubs, groups and activities, as well as our 1-1 support, we send occasional emails out with information, but we haven't got the capacity to send out every piece of information, so not being on Facebook will mean you will miss out on the amazing support members give to each other daily on the forum.

Many of our members didn't use Facebook but created an account just for the use of being a mASCot member
